Transcript

In the evolutionary worldview, millions of years ago a fish sprouted legs and crawled out onto land, beginning the evolution of amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds. And one fossil has been held up as the “proof” for years.

Tiktaalik is a fish fossil that supposedly had the beginnings of “legs.” Is this creature the missing link? Well, no. Like many other lobe-finned fish today, it had unique fins, but they’re still fins, designed for swimming, not crawling. And as more research has been done, scientists are realizing there’s problems with the “missing link” idea.

Missing links are missing because we didn’t evolve!
